It occurs to me that my OC is kinda stupid.

So I'm remaking him.

Was a rich guy who ran Pony CNN and also a lab, and had nifty schmancy modern tech, who also experimented in his spare time.

Now he'll be a steampunk tinkerer. (he may keep some nifty schamncy modern tech, but not a lot. It'll probs be more bulky too)
